I'm tiling my bathroom. I secured the flange directly to the underlayment, and I plan to tile under the toilet up to the flange. Do I need to put an 'extender' on the flange before I re-seat the toilet?

So long as the flange bolts will pass through the holes in the toilet base to bolt it down you should be all set.
