Our outdoor landscape lighting uses 110 volts lights and wiring. We want to convert to low voltage lights. Is there some equipment I can buy which will help me trace the current wiring locations in the lawn. These wires are about a foot and a half underground. thank you...

There are simple tone tracers that are inexpensive, but they are limited to a few inches.

A Locator Company (they are the ones that you see makring the ground where there are underground utilities) can find it.

And some electricans will have locating equipment.

But it might be best to just abandon this cable and run a new one for the LV lighting.

LV lighting uses relatively high current so you might want to use a larger wire size and also to change the path, such as feeding it in the center or using multiple runs, so reduce the voltage drop.

Also it will be much easier to attach to the LV cable.
