I am having a problem with my orion television. It has v-chip protection on it and is asking for a p.w. to cancel it, but I never activated it in the first place. So I need a code to override this.

I found this on another web site by a poster named Chad.
"This will probably work for most Orion V-chips... I figured it out looking at another manufacturer's instructions, on my Orion it was:
* Turn the volume down to 0
* Change to a blocked channel (where it asks for V-Chip password)
* On the TV (not from the remote) hold the volume down button
* (While holding volume on TV) hold the '0' key on the remote for between 2-10 seconds...
* The screen should unlock, and you should save no V-Chip restrictions.
You can now use your manual to find out how to set the restrictions you want."

hey bob, the solution you gave about removing the v chip didn't work for my tv. My tv is a ge. When I tried the solution, it still says its blocked. Please reply as soon as possible. thank you!

i tryed to take my v chip off and it will not work without remote
