wall versus ceiling

10/26/2007 02:58 PM RustyAK

Recently remodeled a master bedroom where I have tongue and groove pine ceilings and black beams. The remodel consisted of removing the old brown wood paneling and redid the walls in drywall which are now painted. My question is now I am left with a transition from wall to ceiling as far as trimming it out. I was thinking of using quarter round but do I make it the color of the wall or the stain of the ceiling?

corner solutions

A solution you can go with depends on your particular taste. It seams like you are getting away from too much wood in the room. You may think it unusual, but isn't that what we sometimes like to go with! Try putting up black upholstery cording. It goes up very easily with a hot glue gun. The black will match the accent of the beams on the ceiling and it is a neutral color that will match any color room. It really gives the room an elegant look.
