washer - water fill cycles

02/29/2008 04:53 PM debster818

Just started. It fills up fine, but when it is filling up for the rinse cycle the water cycles up and down. Cleaned out both screens in hoses, but did not help.

** washer **

There are lots of different designs of washers on the market. The only way we can find out which one you're dealing with is if you post its brand name and *complete* model number.

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:

- Model Number Tag Search

** when it is filling up for the rinse cycle the water cycles up and down. **

On what temperature setting(s)?

If your washer is a higher end model, they will often control the temperature of fill water electronically by cycling the hot or cold on and off to achieve some set temperature. What you're experiencing could be normal. Did it act any different previously?

** Cleaned out both screens in hoses **

Some machines have similar sediment screens built right into the water valve which could be plugged. It might also be possible that the water fill valve itself is partially plugged up internally.
