weep holes and wall leakage

04/04/2004 11:24 PM tutone

I am buying a house in west texas and we had a bad rain storm the other night. The next day I noticed that a pool of water was on the concrete slab inside the master bath and master bedroom on the main floor. It was along the exterior wall that took the beating of the storm. I am wondering where the water entered the house. Could it have come through the weep holes, come through the bottom layer of brick or maybe it trickeled down the outside of the bathroom vent pipe exposed on the roof. And how concerned should I be. Thanks

Do you think the water came in from the weep holes, through the bottom layer of bricks or maybe it trickled down the bathroom vent exposed on the outside of the roof? Also, how concerned should I be?
