For those concerned: Lets make sure we are talking about the same styles and problems. After reading all the msg's most are regarding the wooden and double hung styles.
I have Windsor Next Dimension Casement windows and patio sliding doors. These windows had to be manufactured before March of 2004 (completion date of construction). Windsor warranty info. states "effective on products manufactured 1/1/2007 and after". This confuses me. However, I will give them a break and pass on info to you. I am having the 3" trim (facia)used below the windows removed and replaced. It was a suggestion by the dealer rep. "May have trapped water between trim and window, thus causing water to seep into the walls and causing problems". After needed drying out and install of trim,I will be able to tell right away by simulating a "good" rain by using a hose. I will post my results for all. |

the reason the warranty states for 2007 and after is they changed some of the terms in 2007 for products manufacturered after that date.
