wood kitchen floor

08/09/2007 07:55 AM kristen709

I had water damage so the hard wood oak floors are being torn out today. Many of the boards are fine. Any uses for this nice wood? I was wondering about using as a wall decor, NOT full paneling but more like accents, in a bathroom? Any thoughts before it gets hauled away? Thanks.

Your hard wood floor

Hi,

Yes, it is a good idea to use this quality wood as an accent. You may also consider to use any of the preserved boards as tiny frames for small pictures or gobelins. Although it is too hard, this wood is also appropriate for woodcarving.
