I can't read the dimensions, so I'm not sure how applicable my comments will be, but here goes:
1. The house appears to mass up nicely under the roof plan. The exception is the roof over the foyer. If you are in a warm enough climate, I would consider eliminating the foyer and empahsizing the entry another way.
2. The floor plan seems too limited to devote so much space to circulation. Also, I try to avoid "dogleg" halls. I'd work at rearranging the space to eliminate as much of the hall area as possible.
3. In small homes I like to open spaces to one another. You might try opening the kitchen to the living room with a larger cased opening.
I work hard at arranging my floor plans, and I think it reads through to the overall architectural organization of the home. Your plan works, but I think you need to spend some time looking at the economy of the new space, and how you enter it. You might end up back where you started, but my sense is you could probably improve things. But then, I never know until I try.
