Massachusetts Queen Anne Victorian Video

Bob is in Rowley, Massachusetts, which dates from 1694 when minister Ezekiel Rogers came to the New World with 20 families. Rowley is surrounded by beaches and marshes, with little change in the historic neighborhoods in town. The Queen Anne Victorian Bob visits was built in 1890 along with two other homes. Original details like the gable-end scallop shingles and the square window with colored insets still remain. The house was remodeled in the 1950s when the side porch was enclosed to make a beauty parlor. David and Jeanne Masher, the owners, replaced the former stable with a garage and studio, but have not siginificantly changed the original home. The Mashers will redo the kitchen to create a family area, add a deck and a mudroom, and blend it all with the backyard landscape to transition their indoor living outdoors.
