For the Roxbury handicapped accessible unit, the crew selected a wheelchair shower from Kohler's Freewill line. The shower's generous dimensions, grab bars, slip-resistant surface and the absence of a threshold provide accessibility compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. Also available in an easy to retro-fit three-piece version, The Freewill meets the demand for remodeling as well as new construction.
With options of brushed or polished stainless steel or white or gray nylon, the grab bars contribute a sense of style previously unavailable in accessible bathing products. Manufactured by Hewi, the nylon grab bars provide a distinctive look and contrast with the unit's color for visibility and safety purposes.
The MasterShower 3-way hand shower offers convenience of spray at one's fingertips. Mounted on the wall, it functions as an adjustable height showerhead. The "Rite-Temp" pressure balanced mixing valve prevents scalding and freezing by automatically regulating the water temperature.
The MasterShower also has a High Temperature Limit Stop. With this feature, you can pre-set a comfortable, maximum water temperature level. You can also select the spray you prefer; pulsating, full-flow, or soft aerated. The MasterShower can be transformed into the ultimate long handled back brush with the MasterShower body brush kit. Water flows through the brush to rinse as you wash. The removable brush attachment has soft thick bristles for gentle scrubbing. The 10" handle extension makes it easy to wash hard to reach places.
