Klima-Tite Windows
Behind the Scenes - Habitat for Humanity

Bob Ryley and Bill Warren install thermo-clad Klima-Tite Series 2010 Tilt single hung windows in the Yonkers house. The windows come with extra wide nailing fins pre-fabricated with large nailing holes making these windows both easier to install and more weathertight. Ryley and Bill use stainless steel tab nails to secure the windows in place. A totally welded sloped sill prevents moisture leakage at the corners while improving energy efficiency.

The Klima-tite windows feature integral, full-length interlock for enhanced strength, security and thermal performance. Low-E, high performance glass panes are separated by insulating air space using 3/4" warm edge technology.

The integrated j-channel (or modified j-bead as Ryley refers to it) makes drywalling a breeze and the tilt-in bottom makes these windows a snap to clean.
