LowTemp Paint
Behind the Scenes - Habitat for Humanity

Outside the house volunteers and pros are hard at work applying Sherwin Williams LowTemp 35™ Exterior Latex Paint to the home's exterior. While conventional paint must be applied at temperatures above 55 degrees, LowTemp 35 performs in temperatures down to 35 degrees. It's 100% acrylic and formulated to dry more quickly to resist frosting, peeling, blistering, fading, chalking, and mildew. LowTemp 35 can be used on wood, masonry, vinyl, aluminum, brick, stucco, plywood, or exterior drywall.

The only caveats are that air, surface, and material temperatures must all remain above 35 degrees for at least 72 hours after painting. Don't paint if snow or rain is expected within two to three hours, and don't use these paints at temperatures above 65 degrees.

The cost is comparable to premium professional paints.
