TechShield heat barrier sheathing is L-P's latest innovation in energy-saving roofing products. Designed especially for use in sun-belt areas, TechShield laminates a thin layer of aluminum to roof sheathing to prevent up to 97% of the sun's radiant heat from entering the attic, reducing attic temperatures and air conditioning energy costs in summer months.
In new construction as well as remodeling, the use of radiant heat barriers can result in immediate energy savings. Used to inhibit heat transfer in the attic, TechShield heat barrier sheathing can increase comfort levels within the home while reducing cooling costs.
TechShield sheathing is available in plywood and OSB, and installs just like traditional roof sheathing. No additional labor cost is involved to install TechShield.
