Screen Door Installation
Behind the Scenes - Elmwood Neighborhood
Both Judi Lee and the Macheskas selected traditional-style screen doors made of 1 3/8" thick solid wood from Beyond the Screen Door to enhance their turn of the century Elmwood homes. Fabricated of clear (no knots or strain) finger joint kiln-dried pine for superior stability and easy painting, Beyond the Screen Door storm and screen doors are constructed using strong, stable mortise and tenon joinery. All adhesives are two component and are water resistant to withstand weather conditions.
Decorative corner brackets are made from an engineered wood product to prevent warpage or breakage. Screens are removable for easy cleaning and repair and may be readily interchanged with tempered glass storm panels. The doors install easily to swing left or right. They provide ventilation and natural light while keeping out pesky insects. Morever, they protect the main door from the elements.
