The new addition gets homemade windows made to match those in the old Federalist era, and the siding is also cut and detailed to match. Bob is invited into the elegant "rooms" of the gardens at Charleston's William Gibbes house, one of the nation's best examples of Georgian architecture. Back at our house, the roofers are using age-old techniques to repair and expand the slate roof.
