Bob gets a visit from Steve Offutt, a representative of President Clinton's Energy Star Program who helps explain why efficiency should be the first concern for cost-conscious homeowners buying new appliances. There's a state of the art, ultra-efficient Buderus boiler being installed in the basement of our affordable Roxbury project, and Bob takes us all the way to Germany to tour the plant where the boilers are manufactured. Bob checks out two models of thermostats: one for do-it-yourselfers and one for contractors to install.
