The crew from Superior Walls is on site in this episode preparing for the pre-cast foundation walls that will provide the base for the modular home. Superior's Jim Costello joins Bob to talk about the manufacturing process for the pre-cast panels. Next, Bob travels back to the Simplex plant in Scranton PA, where he explains how each module is framed and prepped for delivery to home site. The pair focuses on the roof structure and the special construction details required to safely transport the modules to the building site. Back in the Berkshires, Chris Vila and Mel Zimmerman from Superior Walls explain the foundation assembly process once the panels have been lowered into place by crane.
