Panelized Cedar Shingles, a Metal Roof, and The Mount (HA1420)
In this episode, work continues on the home’s exterior. Ken Clark from Cedar Valley Shingles joins Bob to discuss the sidewall shingles that are being installed. The Cedar Valley Shingle system consists of a series of panels where the individual shingles are already attached. The result is a faster, smoother installation process. Also on the exterior, a metal roof system from Englert, Inc. is being fabricated and installed. Kevin Corcoran from Eglert gives Bob the rundown on the benefits of this environmentally friendly, maintenance free product. Local roofing contractor Al Smith details the installation process. Finally, Bob visits The Mount in Lenox, Mass., the one-time home of author Edith Wharton.
