In season four Home Again focuses on a 26 episode renovation project that appeals to all do-it-yourselfers with a need to expand and an eagle eye on the budget. It also provides inspiration and edification while peeking into the homes of some of America's most illustrious people.

Vila takes on the expansion of a 35-year old ranch house in Wayland, Massachusetts. A bedroom community on the outskirts of Boston, Wayland is home to many middle-class commuters with growing families. Bob and Ryley map out the step-by-step expansion of the Pareskys' modest one story house on the breezy shores of Lake Cochituate, converting it into a two-story modern dream home with ample room for their three children. Special touches include European kitchen cabinets, a state of the art closet system for the master bedroom, custom built-in bookshelves, an eye-catching fan detail applied to the front facade, and a private deck off the master bedroom. Offsite excursions during construction include visits to the Bonnet House Museum in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, South Carolina's Drayton Hall, one of oldest surviving plantations in the nation, the USS Constitution in drydock in Boston Harbor for a major overhall, Thomas Edison's winter home in Fort Myers, Florida, Vizcaya in Miami, Florida, and a tour of Miami Beach's Art Deco District. The crew also visits a Georgia Pacific plywood manufacturing plant in Savannah, Georgia and Anderson McQuaid Hardwoods where the crown molding for the den was milled.

With community involvement in mind, Bob meets the crew from Nuesrtra Comunidad, a grassroots redevelopment group, hard at work on an urban renewal project in the heart of Boston and then travels to Columbus, Ohio, where an urban playground takes shape through the efforts of community volunteers.
