Bob revisits one of his favorite themes, the antique house. In Richmond, Virginia, the oldest continuously occupied governor's mansion in America is in need of serious repairs, and the Home Again team is there to help. The Commonwealth of Virginia has appropriated over five million dollars for the restoration of this 1813 Federal mansion. Not only will this 13 episode project encompass the historical rooms on the first floor, but the second floor family residence will be completely gutted and rebuilt to provide a spacious and comfortable apartment for Governor James and Roxane Gilmore and their children.

Projects include the complete overhaul and modernization of the basement to include a state-of-the-art caterer's kitchen for official functions, all new mechanical systems, and updates for handicapped accessibility. Peeling back the layers of hard use and previous renovations, Bob helps Ryley and the contractors restore antique woodwork, floors, staircases and wallpaper to their original elegance. Trips to historic buildings around Virginia will include Thomas Jefferson's grand Capitol Building, Colonial Williamsburg, fascinating historic manors along the James River, the country's oldest working plantation, and even some local do-it-yourself projects right in Richmond.
