Bob visits Cliff Electric, a three man team, that will performing all the "rough in" wiring in a residence. Bob Owens, the lead electrician, shows a switched receptacle which is a receptacle that is controlled by a wall switch. This is done so a person could plug a table lamp into the receptacle and then cut the lamp on and off with a wall switch. Bob Owens shows how to properly run NMB wire, strip the outer sheath, make the necessary connections, and strip the individual wire insulation. They also discuss the requirements for accessible box heights and locations.
