Tour of the Chinese Parlor at Winterthur Video

Bob re-visits The Winterthur Garden and Museum, this time touring the Chinese Parlor with curator Pauline Eversmann. The Parlor is actually a combination of three rooms, chosen specifically to showcase the wallpaper. The wallpaper depicts the social hierarchy of Chinese life. In the foreground are the elite class, the scholars, above them in the background, are the merchants. Finally, at the top are the working class or peasants.
