Mounting Overhead Cabinets Video

Bob is back in the kitchen with Brad Brewster of Princeton Custom Cabinetry for the installation of the overhead hanging cabinets. Brewster shows Bob the full-box construction and explains the wood tab used by the installers to hold the heavy cabinets in line and in place while they are installed. Once hung, the installer just screws the two boxes together to hold them in place. Brewster also shows Bob the no-screw hinge hardware from Blum that is used in these LesCare cabinets. The hinges are set into a pre-drilled hole, pressed in securely, then closed with a self-clamping device that holds the hinge in place without screws or unsightly fasteners. Ernie Wernecke of Princeton Custom Cabinetry explains how adjustments are made to the cabinets for door alignment and height.
