Can I paint over aluminum/vinyl siding?
Yes, either type may be painted with exterior 100% acrylic house paint once the siding is thoroughly cleaned to remove any chalk or dirt and allowed to dry. On vinyl siding do not apply a paint that is darker than the original siding color due to the heat absorption and possible buckling of the siding.
