Carbon monoxide detector
A colorless, odorless gas, carbon monoxide is a by-product of incomplete fuel combustion. It is produced by home appliances that require fuel to operate, such as stoves, dryers, furnaces, and it is a component of automobile exhaust. Carbon monoxide detectors warn the user when carbon monoxide levels reach a dangerous level.

Carbon steel
Carbon steel (also called high-carbon steel or tools steel) is standard steel (carbon-containing iron alloy) which is hardened in a hot-and-cold manufacturing process. Carbon steel is satisfactory for drilling wood and some soft metals.

Used in construction where a smooth finish is required, this limestone has a finely ground surface.

Carborundum stone
Manufactured abrasive stone, which uses carbon-silicon abrasives in its formulation.
