Cutting off tool
Also called parting tools, they are available for both wood lathes and metal lathes and are used to cut straight into the piece that is turning on a lathe to separate it from the lathe headstock. The wood lathe tool is hand held. The metal lathe tool is held in a tool holder and is advanced into the work as the work spins and cuts completely and smoothly through the work.

Cycad
An ancient group of plants that were very abundant in the "age of dinosaurs" (the Jurasic and Cretaceous periods). There are less than 200 species that survive today and are growing in the warmer regions of the world. Often thought of as long-lived flowerless plants. Most are palm or fern-like.

The time beginning at the instant a toilet flush lever is actuated until the instant the water supply shuts off, completing the flush cycle.

The loss of heat as the water circulates through a water heater tank and inlet and outlet pipes.
