In-line pump
Small pump which pumps fluid through a line on which it is supported and mounted.

In-line screwdriver
In-line screwdrivers are often referred to as stick drivers because they are similar in appearance to standard, hand screwdrivers. Their narrow, streamlined construction gets these models into spaces where their pistol grip relatives can't go. They provide the power most homeowners' need for basic nut/screw driving jobs. They also use lower speeds (rpm) to prevent bits from damaging screw heads, and more torque for ease of starting screws into the workpiece.

In-rip
When making an in-rip on a radial saw, the blade faces the fence and the motor faces outward. This method is usually recommended as it provides for better visibility of both the workpiece and the operator's hands.

In/out corners
Trim tile for turning a right-angle inside or outside a wall corner.

Inadequate
Not sufficient. Not equal to what is required.

Inaudible
That which cannot be heard.

Incandescence
Light emission by a heated filament.

Incandescent
(1) Very bright, shining, gleaming, luminous. (2) Glowing with intense heat.

Incandescent lamp
A light source which generates light utilizing a thin filament wire (usually of tungsten) heated to white heat by an electric current passing through it.

Incandescent light
Bulb containing a conductive filament with current flowing through and an inert gas, which react together to create an intense heat, making the filament glow.
