A seed treatment medium that contains the sybiotic rhizobial bacteria to capture nitrogen when in contact with legume roots. This is a commercially formulated strain of rhizobium, added to the soil, to aid in the establishment of various members of the bean family.

Another term for carnivorous plants. Plants that will trap and digest insects that will supply them with nitrogen. Most of these plants grow in swamps where it is difficult to obtain nitrogen.
