Laminated beam
Beam made of superimposed layers of similar materiel (usually wood) by uniting them with glue under pressure.
Laminated glass
Glass that has been made by uniting layers of glass in order to strengthen the glass.
Laminated shingles
Shingles that have added dimensionality because of extra layers or tabs, giving a shakelike appearance. May also be called "architectural shingles" or "three-dimensional shingles.".
Laminated veneer lumber (lvl)
Created by parallel lamination of veneers into a thickness normal to solid sawn lumber, which is 3Ú4" to 2 1Ú4" and is considered engineered lumber.
Laminated wood
An assembly made by bonding layers of veneer or lumber with an adhesive. May also refer to edge-glued lumber items such as treads, etc.
