Linoleum knife

Flexible and elastic varnish.
Linseed oil
A drying oil used in paint, varnish, and lacquer.
Lintel
Horizontal crosspiece over a window or door that carries the weight of the structure above it.
Lippage
In finished installation, the condition where one edge of a tile is higher than an adjacent tile. May be unavoidable even for tiles that are within the tolerances of dimensional standards.
Liquefied petroleum gas
Fuel made from propane, butane or a combination.
Liquid

(2) Financial status whereby an individual or business can convert a significant percentage of assets to cash quickly. (3) Characteristic of an investment. Indicates that the investment can be quickly sold or converted to cash.
Liquid assets
Assets that can be converted to cash quickly, including money in money- market accounts, savings and checking accounts and some certificates of deposit.
Liquid membrane
Material, such as asphalt or tar based liquid containing glass fibers, which is applied to a roof and solidifies to form a membrane to seal the roof.
