Offset statement
An occupant's expressed interest in property that is being rented.

Offset studs
A framing method. The studs are placed on alternating sides of the plate (which is wider than the studs) so that the drywall on each side is attached to a different set of studs.

Offset wrench
A wrench where the head is offset at an angle to allow use in inaccessible locations.

Offset, 1/8-bend
A plumbing fitting used for positioning a pipe around an obstacle.

Ogee
An S-shaped curved applied to trim or molding as a decoration.

Ohm
A unit of measure of electrical resistance. One volt can produce a current of one ampere through a resistance of one ohm.

Ohm's law
In a given electrical circuit, the amount of current in amperes (i) is equal to the pressure in volts (V) divided by the resistance, in ohms (R).

Ohmmeter
A device used to measure electrical resistance.

Oil and gas lease
An agreement that gives the right to explore for oil, gas, and sometimes other minerals and to extract them from the ground. Provisions include the granting of subsurface and surface rights, lease duration, extension terms, royalties, surface damages, assignments and warranties.
