Orange peel
Film having the roughness of an orange due to poor roller or spray application.
Orange peel surface texture
A surface with a texture comparable to the skin of an orange upon which a protective coating may be applied.
Orange shellac
A waterproofing agent. Shellac that has not been bleached to a colorless state.
Orbital motion
Orbital motion refers to the addition of circular motion to the sabre saw blade. Orbital motion allows for faster cuts than a straight reciprocating motion. Orbital motion also helps remove debris from the blade's path. Four-position sabre saw models adjust to small and medium orbits for light metals, hardwoods and plastics; larger orbits make fast cuts through wood and plasterboard.
Orbital sander
The tight circular motion of orbital sanders is best applied to finish sanding and limited paint removal.
Orbital weld
A circumferential, full fusion weld used to join together two lengths of tubing. It is a GTAW welding process. Usually to join coiled lengths.
Orbits per minute (opm)
Orbital motion sanders are rated in orbits per minute (opm), or the number of times the pad completes a full circle in a minute.
Order
