Oriental rug
Handwoven or hand knotted rugs native to the Middle or Far East available in many patterns and known for their colorations. Many machine-made rugs, made using Oriental rug designs, are also referred to as Oriental rugs.
Orientation
Position of a structure on a site, relative to sunlight angles and prevailing winds. Locating a structure after considering such factors as the homeowner's desired privacy, noise, etc. Alternately, familiarizing a newly hired employee with the required knowledge.
Oriented strand board (osb)
Wood strands bonded with adhesives to form a mat. Like the veneer in plywood, these mats are layered and oriented for maximum strength, stiffness and stability. The individual strands are typically three to four inches long. OSB is widely used as construction sheathing, as the web material for wood I-joists, as the structural skins of structural insulated panels (SIPs), and in a growing number of other applications.
Orifice
An opening, usually one that can be constricted or closed by a control device.
Original equipment manufacturer (oem)
Refers to the manufacturers of complete vehicles or heavyœduty engines, as contrasted with remanufacturers, converters, retrofitters, up-fitters, and repowering or rebuilding contractors who are overhauling engines, adapting or converting vehicles or engines obtained from the OEMs, or exchanging or rebuilding engines in existing vehicles.

The amount of cash initially invested by the underlying real estate owner.
Original grade
The grade at a construction site prior to any excavation work.
