Progress payments
In a construction loan, payments made to a contractor as the various construction stages are completed. The contractor uses progress payments to pay the various subcontractors and suppliers as construction proceeds.

Project budget
Outline of the construction budget and all costs for land, equipment, financing professional services, etc.

Projected area
The net south-facing glazing area projected on a vertical plane. Also, the solid area covered at any instant by a wind turbine's blades from the perspective of the direction of the windstream (as opposed to the swept area).

Projection
(1) A proposal of something to be done. (2) To jut out or protrude beyond the rest of the surface.

Projection period
The time duration for estimating future cash flows and the resale proceeds from a proposed real estate investment.

Promissory note
A promise, in writing, to pay a specified sum to a specified person under specified terms.

Propagation
For gardening methods, this refers to the many different ways of starting new plants. This included various methods of starting new plants ranging from starting seeds to identical clones created by cuttings or layering.

Propane
A heavy, colorless, gaseous hydrocarbon of the methane series which occurs naturally in petroleum and used as fuel in refrigerants, aerosols, soldering torches, etc.

Propane torch
Portable, hand held torch which consists of a bottle containing pressurized propane gas with a screwed on burner nozzle. The nozzle is used to direct the burning gas, when it is ignited, to be used for soldering, brazing, etc.
