Spray bottle

Spray can
Pressurized container, from which a fine mist is sprayed, by liquid being forced out through a nozzle.

Spray gun
Painting apparatus, which forces paint or other liquids through a nozzle, by use of compressed air. A fine, even coating can be applied to surfaces by this type of application, although it is thinner than that of a brush or roller.

Spray pyrolysis
A deposition process whereby heat is used to break molecules into elemental sources that are then spray deposited on a substrate.

Sprayed polyurethane foam (spf)
A monolithic sprayed-on roofing material with a high R-value; formed when isocyanate ("A" component) and resin ("B" component) are mixed at a 1.

Spraying
A method of application in which the coating material is broken up into a fine mist that is directed onto the surface to be coated.

Spread
The difference between the price offered by a buyer and the price asked for by the seller of real estate.

Spread (ls)
Maximum distance between two vertical planes tangent to a specified envelope and perpendicular to a plane through the core center. The spread are generally referred to the envelope corresponding to 0.25 m/s for zero supply temperature differential (i.e., under isothermal conditions).

Spread footing
Wide based foundation footing used to spread the load of a structure over a wider area when the foundation is on weak soil.

Spreader
Similar to a riving knife, spreaders are found on table and radial saws. Spreaders keep the kerf from closing and pinching the blade during cuts and help prevent kickback.
