Better security for the home is something we all desire. MacLock Blade Locking Systems are an entirely new concept in high-security, high strength, entry door locking systems. Consisting of a 28” blade that extends from the door through a strike plate in the doorjamb, instead of a 1” deadbolt, the MacLock spreads forces out over a much greater area. The result is a locking system that can make any door stronger, and more resistant to failures of the door, lock, or doorjamb. You will feel safer behind a MacLock equipped door.
The MacLock looks like a normal deadbolt. The 28” blade is operated from a single key deadbolt, and is compatible with most off-the-shelf deadlocks from Schlage, Kwikset and others. The blade is entirely concealed within the door. High security can now be achieved without an array of deadbolts, locks and chains.
The MacLock system is reliable and built to last. While using the weakest exterior door on the market, the MacLock passed ANSI/BHMI Grade 1 bolt impact test requirements, which incorporate 150 ft/lb force of pressure, the highest grade testing for locks. In fact, the MacLock withstood 600% more blows than required by the specification. It has also passed Grade 1 cycle test requirements with flying colors.
The MacLock can be retrofitted onto most existing wooden doors, with nothing more than a drill and a screwdriver. All the drill bits, templates and full instructions are included with each do-it-yourself package. For professional installers a special kit is available separately, complete with router guide. The MacLock can be used with most existing deadlocks, so there is no need to buy and re-key a new lock.
