· Unico System's round 5" outer diameter outlets are available in paintable plastic or stainable wood, and can be mounted in ceilings, walls or floors. A slotted (1/2” high x 8” wide) plastic outlet is also available for sidewall applications. Once Unico System is installed it is virtually invisible; the diffusers blend into any décor.
· Unico System works on the principle of aspiration, in which streams of conditioned air enter a room and gently mix with the room's existing air currents, eliminating the drafts one feels from the “toss and throw” method used by conventional forced-air systems.
· Unico System supply tubing is lined with sound dampening, spun-bond nylon which ensures quiet operation. You feel superior comfort without the noise associated with conventional heating and air conditioning systems.
· Because Unico System coils are colder than conventional coils (with a 20 to 30 degree greater temperature drop across its surface as opposed to the 15 to 20 degree drop in conventional coils), Unico System removes up to 30% more moisture than conventional systems. Blower Motor
The Unico, Inc. blower motor is now centrally located in the module, directly in the air stream. The motor is mounted directly to the housing using our innovative ‘twist-and-lock’ design for ease of serviceability by the contractor. The blower cabinet is fully insulated with closed-cell insulation providing for better sound attenuation.

Ceiling Outlet
The original round (5-inch o.d., 2-inch i.d.) Unico System outlet can be painted or wallpapered to match any décor. A wood version is also available in a variety of species and can be stained to match hardwood floors.

Insulated Tubing
The Unico System’s sound attenuated tubing, constructed of a special insulation-wrapped spun-bond nylon core and mylar jacket, ensures quiet operation.

Slotted Outlet
Introduced by Unico, Inc., manufacturer of high performance mini-duct heating and cooling systems, the UPC-67 Slotted Outlet measures 1 ¾-inch by 10 1/5-inches. The outlet features a paintable plastic trim plate that is an alternative to the standard, round 5-inch outer diameter Unico System outlets.

Accessory Coils
Unico Inc., manufacturer of high performance mini-duct heating and cooling systems, has announced the introduction of their new accessory coils for the 2 to 5 ton unit sizes (the Model 1218, 1 to 1.5 ton configurations remain the same). The new accessory coils include cooling, hot water, chilled water and heat pump coils.
