1) Using simple geometry, lay out your curves according to your design.
  2) We made a compass out of a piece of scrap ply-wood to help scribe our cuts.
  3) Use a small skill saw and a jig saw to cut two identical templates.
         
         
 
 
4) You should lay out your cuts so you get both sides from one piece of wood.
  5) Cut out the center of the detail to create the reveal.
  6) This shows a side template with the reveal cut out.
