Kohler rep Phil Boggs joined Bob for the installation of the Kohler Invitation vitreous china lavatory. The Invitation model features attractive residential styling and the convenience of countertop installation while permitting full wheelchair accessibility. The "Invitation" conforms to the latest requirements for toe, leg, and knee clearances as stated by the American National Standards Institute and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The "Invitation" lavatory has a unique loop shaped design that positions the drain to one side at the rear of the basin. Locating the drain in this fashion moves the drain pipe away from the area under the basin and moves the faucet deck forward. This in turn creates sufficient clearance under the counter for the wheelchair user and makes it easier to reach the faucets.

The Invitation lavatory features a front rim designed to overhang the edge of the countertop and bring the basin closer to the user. Its overall dimensions are a generous 26.25" by 20". The 5.75" deep basin is convenient for a seated user. The sink is available drilled for 4" or 8" faucet centers with optional drilling for a soap/lotion dispenser.

The Coralais single control faucet boasts consistent performance due to the proven reliability of ceramic valving. Resistant to hard water deposits, rust and other impurities, ceramic valves provide precise water control over the life of the faucet. Solid all metal construction furnishes a sturdiness that was once only available in more expensive faucets.

Designed with a 16.5" high bowl, the Kohler Highline toilet is ADA compliant. The additional bowl height requires less bending so it is more comfortable for people who are taller or who may have limited movement.

The Highline is environmentally friendly as well. By using only 1.6 gallons per flush, the Highline conserves up to 11,000 gallons of water per year for a family of four. In addition to saving water, this also lowers water and sewer bills and can extend the life of a well or septic system.

The superior flushing performance of Kohler's Highline toilet is provided in part by a siphon jet flushing system. By rapidly filling the trap way with water, the system creates a strong siphonic action that quickly and effectively pulls waste from the bowl. A jet of water finishes the job by cleaning the drain line and removing any waste that may affect the next flush.

The glazed trap way provides a smooth as glass flushing surface. At 11" by 9", the toilet's water surface (one of the largest in the industry) provides for better hygiene as it helps maintain a clean bowl. Because water covers most of the bowl's surface and prevents residue from accumulating, the toilet requires less frequent cleaning. The large water surface also reduces odor and aids in the flushing action.
