Diamond Floor

Print VersionBookmarkEmail this page to a friend.
Here's a way to create a designer look for you floor using a stenciled diamond pattern. Snap parallel chalk lines diagonally across the room to form a grid pattern. Mask off a square with painter's tape. Apply a thick, oil-based paint. For a "pickled" look, wipe off any excess with a rag. For solid squares, just remove your tape and let dry. To keep your tape from messing up the wet paint, don't paint adjoining diamonds on the same day.
