Finish Your Basement

Print VersionBookmarkEmail this page to a friend.
Finishing your basement is a good way to add space and value to your home. You'll need to add a vapor barrier and insulation between the cement slab and your new subfloor. Fur out the walls to receive wiring, insulation, and drywall or paneling. Make sure the stairs meet code and have proper railings. Basements are ideal spaces for storage, and of course the home workshop.
