Old flooring can be easily removed to make way for new flooring. Follow the preparation steps to save on cleanup time.
Step 3: Remove molding. Starting at a doorway, pry away the molding. If you work gently, you can preserve the molding and reuse it once the new floor has been installed. If the molding doesn’t pull away easily, it is a good idea to rest the pry bar on a small piece of wood to protect the wallboard. Pry away molding.
Make sure that you and your home are protected against dust and fine particles. When working on a project that creates dust, always wear goggles, gloves and a dust mask. Seal off your work area and provide adequate ventilation.
