Replace old washing machine hoses with stainless-steel ones to protect against leaks and deterioration.
Step 3: Disconnect the water supply hose
With the water off and connections marked, use groove-joint pliers to loosen the fitting on the cold-water supply hose. Keep a bucket and towel handy to catch any water remaining in the hose.
Disconnect the cold-water supply hose.

The water supply must be completely closed before you disconnect hoses. If there is any leaking water, shut off the main water supply until the project is complete.
