How to Replace Old Washer Hoses

Replace old washing machine hoses with stainless-steel ones to protect against leaks and deterioration.
Step 5: Connect the new supply hose
Starting at the washing machine, connect the new stainless-steel hose to the cold-water inlet. Tighten the fitting by hand and then tighten by a half-turn using the pliers. Do not over-tighten the fittings. An inner seal keeps the connection leak-free.
Connect the new stainless-steel hose to the washer at the cold-water inlet.

The water supply must be completely closed before you disconnect hoses. If there is any leaking water, shut off the main water supply until the project is complete.
