Replacing a toilet is an easy job that requires basic tools and skills and can usually be accomplished in under an hour.
Step 2: Remove any remaining water
Remove the tank lid and use a wet/dry vacuum to suck out all remaining water in both the tank and in the bowl. If you don't have a wet/dry vac use a sponge and a bucket.
A wet/dry vacuum makes short work of removing any remaining water from the tank and bowl.

Make sure water to the toilet is completely turned off before proceeding. If the shut-off valve does not completely stop the water flow, temporarily turn off the water to the entire house.
