You can add character, detail and historic charm to your home with the addition of beadboard wainscoting and a chair rail.
Step 4: Remove cover plates and tape over connections. Use a screwdriver to remove the cover plates of all the outlets and switches on the walls where you will be installing the beadboard. Even though the circuit breaker for the room has been switched off, it’s wise to remove the outlets and tape over the connections. Leave the outlets loose so that they can be pulled through the beadboard during the installation.
Tape the connections and leave the outlets loose.
