A hand shower brings convenience and flexibility to the shower space.
Step 1: Remove the old showerhead.
Use an adjustable wrench to unscrew and remove the old showerhead. Use a rag and mineral spirits to completely clean the threads on the shower stem to remove all traces of old plumber's tape or thread compound.

Carefully read instructions that come with the hand shower kit. Make sure the water to the shower is shut off.
