Working with tools can a pleasurable, relaxing, and rewarding experience, but sometimes the blood, sweat and tears, not to mention grease and oil, that go into your work can spill onto your clothing. Not that you wear your best duds on the job, but it very likely that you wear your most comfortable. So here are a few remedies for getting these stains out and keeping your work clothing respectable: 1) Grease and oil - Gently rub in talcum powder, cornmeal or cornstarch, wait a few minutes for it to set, then remove with either a sponge or brush. 2) Perspiration -Saturate and rub with white vinegar before tossing in the washing machine. 3) Rust - Rub with lemon juice and salt, then rinse thoroughly with water. 4) Blood spots - If the fabric is bleachable, douse it with hydrogen peroxide or diluted ammonia. Then rinse it in cool water. Do not rinse with hot water... it will set the bloodstain. 5) Grass stains - Apply rubbing alcohol liberally to the stained area before you put it in the washer.
