Demo existing fixtures and floor


Remove old wall tile, inspect studs for dry rot, remove window. Disconnect plumbing in tub; remove tub.

disconnect plumbing in sink; remove sink

Disconnect plumbing in toilet, unbolt from floor, remove toilet.

Take all the above items to debris box.

Remove vinyl floor layer; inspect sub flooring and remove. Take to debris box

Repair stud wall and floor joists if necessary; reframe window opening


Use "sister" technique to strengthen studs. Frame in window opening using new material and place new vinyl frame window in opening.

Use same technique to stregthen joists as needed. Lay a sheet of cement board or a ferro-cememt frame assembly to serve as sub-flooring

Replace plumbing pipes with copper where visable and feasible. Check all valves and outflow pipes. replace as necessary.

Install new shower with surround and controls


Prepare opening according to mfg. instructions. Place the surround and shower base in space provided. Connect the controls following mfg. directions

Install new flooring, material tbd


If heating coils are to be installed they will go in first; then the actual flooring according to mfg. instructions.

Install new ceiling light fixture/fan?


Install and support in place where current fixture is.

Install new pedestal sink and new power flush toilet


Follow mfg instructions as to placement and support. Insert faucets and connect both inflow and outflow. Replace mirror

Follow mfg instructions as to placement of new toilet, replacing wax seal, connection inflow water lines.

Repaint walls and ceiling


repair wall blemishes and paint with two coats of semi-gloss paint.

I have been looking for this kind of information for a while...thanks a lot.....can you please post some website that might help me more in deisgn and ideas...please don't post this website remodel-bathrooms.com as I already know about it. thanks in advance
